Clad in a extremely short and extremely loosely-inspired “Kalosian Age of Enlightenment” costume, Fae Madden watches the crowd while sitting at the very top of a staircase. A half empty glass of martini sits by her side, her sixth or so – she has lost count by then. It’s a miracle that her outfit is still intact, especially her thigh high stockings. But, then again, maybe it isn’t… she has also lost count of how many people she has ignored when asked to dance. It’s not her sort of scene, but “people watching” can admittedly be interesting…

This year she'd been particularly lazy, when under normal circumstances she was competitive when it came to halloween costumes. The dress she was draped in a was a usual, but it did the deed. Honestly, it was more of an excuse to show off her legs, so what? In truth, she was dressed for spooky season all year long so this was just any other day.

In a room of liars, she'd always enjoying being the most forthright bitch there. Even if that wasn't, by any means, a difficult task. Maeve was not a good liar, which was probably why she couldn't get away with shit. Maybe someone would give her lessons one day, but her personality wasn't one easily contained. It was always a wonder to her how easy it was to feel entirely alone in a place so densely packed. She'd been surrounded by enough riotous crowds to know that life was not a number's game. Quality over quantity or some shit...

There was one person who didn't seem to be enjoying themselves too much, which was just Maeve's type of person. Maeve knew most people on a shallow level. Maybe that said more about her than anything, but she'd never had the time to dig beneath the surface. Time had taught her never to know more about a person beyond what she could use against them. That was a tactic taken right out of her parent's playbook. Maybe she wasn't too different from the rest of the Kilbane empire.
